Rivet gauge boards individually onto these posts after driving them 1.2m into augered holes in the earth staggered down the bank of a reservoir. The official NSW FPH method (2022) of installation requires 1.6 tonnes of concrete for an 8m deep reservoir and this concrete will get heaved out of the ground by self mulching clays as they are wet and dried so we refuse to offer such an installation. Our alternative is simply driving posts deep into the ground - it is not perfect but we would be negligent to even offer the NSW FPH compliant method as we know it will fail.
