Fabrication
We are experienced in the fabrication of agricultural geophysical and monitoring technology. In practice there are many electronic sensors available off the shelf but for practical use we need to fabricate enclosures, structures, and ‘paddock basher’ rated vehicles to make these sensors applicable. Weather rated cables and connectors need to be added - a task that can be surprisingly difficult to optimize. Condensing humidity must be managed. For electromagnetic sensors we need to keep metal away and for towed TEM we need very large loops on almost entirely non-metallic mobile structures that dampen movement – a massive design challenge. This means that we now have considerable fabrication and industrial design experience and capability.
We stock the full range of Exel System 30 joiners and tube along with many other extruded and spin-pultruded stock.
We have a CNC mill in house and outsource laser cutting.
We outsource selective laser sintering type nylon 3D printing.
We outsource circuit board design and manufacture.
We design with Solidworks and some other software.
