pH sensors are notoriously difficult to keep maintained. This sensor uses new technology involving arrays of electrode dots and no solution that can dry out to corrupt the sesnor. It is for use in water, not in soil directly, but with suitable automation, it can be used with distilled water to monitor or map soil pH.  Cable is quoted separately and must be added to the price.
