Seismic cable with take-outs – 7 reels

These 7 reels of seismic cable with takeouts came with the Geometrics Seismic acquisition system owned by NSW Water. The reels are galvanized steel with bearings and will take considerable wear and tear.

There is no reason to expect the cables or reels cannot be used in future applications -they seem to all be still functional. Geophones have all gone missing. They potentially could be used with our direct burial ERT for deep imaging if not for seismic which is now turning towards GPS synchronization and WiFi Comms instead of cable.
