CyberClydesdale 2 wheel electric tractor
- Price: Price on application
Our CyberClydesdale 2 wheel electric tractor has been purchased partly for surveying in extremely demanding terrain but mainly to satisfy over liturgy-cautious mine safety staff. As no one is within the tractor it is less dangerous than a quadbike or ATV and over liturgy-cautious mine safety staff, and governments that regulate them, are making it impractical for us to use highway registered 4WDs on mine sites to tow Wallaby towed TEM systems. Furthermore, the 100kg weight and compactness of the tractor mean we can mobilize it long distances at reasonable cost.
The tractor can climb or descend slopes exceeding 45 degrees at controllable speeds of millimetres per second even when towing a load.
Although walking beside or in-front of the 2-wheel tractor may appear to be inefficient, arduous and tedious it is actually easy to walk 20km per day with the tractor (swapping between two persons) and it frees up the 2nd person and highway registered vehicle for errands and scouting.
The tractor is typically superior in bogs and difficult terrain provided that a jockey-wheel is not placed aft of the two tractor wheels as it is no point having a small diameter wheel bog in under high torque application on the drive wheels, lifting the drive wheels off the ground. Instead we place weight and the jockey wheel forward of the drive wheels or attach our driver cradle well forward to oppose torque and support the Wallaroo front loop.
The tractor also can take the Wombat system into and through creeks and other difficult terrain and between rows in orchards and vineyards.
The cost of mobilizing to a job with the CyberClydesdale compared to even a Quadbike can be considerably less.
