Monex Geoscope TerraTEM16

The Monex Geoscope TerraTEM, as opposed to the newer TerraTEM24, is a legacy instrument with 16 bit A/D converters, as opposed to the 24 bit A/D converters in TerraTEM24 and AgTEM towed TEM electronics.

TerraTEM was used by us from 2004 until 2022 and beyond to conduct towed TEM. For most of that time it was the only suitable instrument as continuous acquisition code was only recently released for TerraTEM24 and AgTEM towed TEM electronics.

New purchasers should instead select a TerraTEM24 or AgTEM electronics.

Data quality from this instrument can be similar to the others only if gain is increased which, in turn, increases systematic noise and clips data. The instrument has a full and clear continuous acquisition option.

This instrument has output limited to 15 Amps so is often used with an external TerraTx50 50Amp transmitter.
