20m neutral buoyancy streamer – Yellow for USV

The T200 thrusters on the HERBI autonomous propulsion unit can drag the Yellow 20m neutral buoyancy streamer along the bed of waterways to 3m deep when a small weight is added to the end of the leader. This streamer, with 8 electrodes, provides 4 layers of bed resolution from one decimetre down to 3m beneath the bed. Neutral buoyancy results in reduced drag making it easy for the small thrusters to efficiently drag the streamer.

T500 thrusters also are available for deeper imaging but as of January 2025 these have not been incorporated into a propulsion unit.
