Lund Resistivity Meter 8-channel and ABEM SAS2000
From about 2005 to about 2012 we used the Lund Resistivity Meter 8-channel system and ABEM SAS2000 to conduct HERBI waterborne streamer surveys.
This system worked as designed although we ran it from a slow Panasonic ‘Brick’ computer with WiFI touchscreen and the computer had the computing speed of a house brick which caused comms issues and slow sampling. In retrospect we should have tired a faster field computer.
The Lund resistivity meter has circuit boards that were the predecessor to the ABEM Terrameter LS 2 https://www.guidelinegeo.com/product/abem-terrameter-ls-2/ . ABEM made a decision to integrate the receiver and transmitter into one box – the Terrameter LS after this in about 2010 and then added automated electrode switching ability.
The meter has 8 simultaneous A/D converter channels and drove the SAS2000 booster as a transmitter without the need for a SAS transmitter. The booster output up to 40mA.
